IPAD COLLECTION
All iPads and original cables and charging blocks must be returned to Myford by Friday, May 12. They are being collected from all students this year.
OPEN HOUSE SHOWCASE - THURSDAY, MAY 11
Mark your calendar for May 11 from 5:00-6:00 for our Open House Showcase. This is a special time where you will come to school and experience a sample of your child’s learning! From Living Museums to hands-on science experiments, the students will share their learning with you through activities and experiences.
EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE RAFFLE
Data Impressions and Microsoft will be raffling a device to one lucky student who had excellent attendance during the 2022-2023 school year. Student numbers will be posted in the front office after May 3rd for you to check prior to our drawing that will be held on May 17.
Here are the eligibility criteria for excellent attendance:

Enrolled since August 16, 2022

9 or fewer “excused” absences

Zero “unexcused” absences

5 or fewer tardies
MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH MONTH
From our Counselor and Mental Health Specliast:
Mental health refers to a person’s mental and emotional well-being. In recent years, it has become apparent how important mental health is because it affects all aspects of an individual’s life, including how they feel, think, and act. By teaching students about mental health awareness and the month which commemorates it, there will undoubtedly be less of a stigma. Additionally, students may learn some strategies for improving their own mental health and information they can use to better understand themselves and those around them.
Myford will be celebrating Mental Health Month this May with a week of activities May 15-19.

If you are looking for a fun summer camp opportunity AND would like to give back to our Myford PTO, consider Palette Station. For every Myford student registered, our PTO will get a percentage donated back to us! See flyer HERE
ENROLLMENT OPEN NOW
Enrollment for new students opens January 30. Make sure to indicate 2023-2024 when you complete the form so you child will the in the correct grade when Aeries rolls students over for the new year.

ABSENCES
Absences must be reported in the morning (before 8:30) every day a child misses school. Please give the student’s name, teacher's name, and the reason for the absence.

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB
In honor of your child’s birthday, you may wish to donate a book to our school library. Birthday book donations help our library maintain a high level of engaging and up-to-date books for all our students to enjoy. There are multiple ways to donate a book to the library. See attached flyer for options. Your child’s name will be placed inside the book as a thank you, their picture will be displayed in the school hallway outside the library for all to appreciate and your child will be the 1st to check out that book!

UNIFORM
Don’t forget that Myford is a uniform school and students are expected to be in uniforms or Myford SpiritWear Mondays-Thursdays. Friday is a Free-Dress Day and we have lots of other Spirit Days throughout the year. Students who are not in uniform may be offered loaner clothes from the office.
