Principal's Message
February 2023
Dear Myford Families,
It has been a wonderful 2022-2023 school year so far! We have had a rich year of learning and collaboration, and have had many opportunities to engage in Social-Emotional Learning. Our theme for this year is to "Be Uniquely YOU!" and celebrate what makes each child special. At the same time, we teach students how to be part of a community in order to make our world a better place.
We started off the year with the book, One Word for Kids, and students were challenged to think about one word that inspires them to make themselves and their world better. In January, we read Maybe together, and again, students were challenged to think about the best possibilities for themselves. We have focused on learning about what it means to follow the Group Plan as well as Thinking with Your Eyes, both components of a social-thinking curriculum. Every Wednesday, classes share at our morning assemblies the many ways they are unique!
Thank you for partnering with us in your children’s journey this year. We know that our Myford students will continue to make this world a better place together!
Be Brave. Be Kind. Be AwesoME!
Dr. Fairchild
